ELVIS WEDDING LAS VEGAS

Elvis is alive, and he’s showing up at wedding chapels all over
Vegas. Many couples choose to tie the knot in Vegas because of the sheer
novelty of the location, and for many couples the addition of an Elvis
impersonator into the ceremony adds to the experience.
An Elvis wedding in Las Vegas can be as simple as an impersonator singing
a quick song during the ceremony or as wacky as dueling Elvis’s taking
the couple for a tour down the Strip in a pink Cadillac. The ELV (Elvis
Level of Involvement) is dependent upon the couple’s wishes and the
amount of cash they are willing to pay.
Vegas Elvis Wedding
There is indeed a Las Vegas Elvis wedding chapel, aptly named the Graceland
Wedding Chapel. The Graceland Chapel was the first to offer an Elvis wedding,
which has now become a commonplace occurrence in Vegas. Wedding packages
start at $199 and include Elvis walking the bride down the aisle and serenading
the newlyweds. The couple gets to choose which Elvis they would like in
the ceremony, whether they would prefer the Young Elvis or the older Vegas
Elvis. Elvis ends the ceremony with a rousing round of “Viva Las
Vegas” in an attempt to get everyone to dance out the door, undoubtedly
to make room for the next wedding.
Here Comes the King
The Graceland Chapel isn’t the only Elvis Chapel in Las Vegas, as
just about every chapel in the area can offer some sort of Elvis involvement
in a wedding ceremony. Many chapels pride themselves upon the authenticity
of their particular Elvis impersonator, and many have more than one. Even
drive-through chapels have an Elvis on staff, in case the couple wants him
to sit in the car with them for the nuptials. An Elvis wedding in Vegas,
it appears, is becoming as common as flashy slot machines.
When seeking out an Elvis wedding chapel in Las Vegas, simply call any chapel
and ask them about their Elvis availability. It is likely they will have
plenty to choose from, and may even offer the services of a pink Cadillac
to get to the chapel. |
