LAS VEGAS TOURIST ATTRACTIONS
Taking the Family
It is possible to take the whole family, no matter what age, to the great
city of Las Vegas, Nevada. It used to be that Las Vegas was strictly an
adult-only city filled with strippers, showgirls, gambling and wild party-goers.
While Las Vegas still sees this, Las Vegas is filled with family attractions
that will delight everyone. Kids will absolutely love visiting this city
and if you do a little research into Las Vegas shows and attractions,
you can make the trip both fun and educational.
Planning the Trip
When traveling in Las Vegas, one should always remember the heat, traffic,
and crowds can make for a tiring experience. This is especially true for
summer traveling. While hotels are cheaper during the summer, there is
good reason for this. Temperatures can soar into the 100s. If you have
small children and toddlers, it is important to keep this in mind. Also,
It is important to remember that sometime the best Las Vegas kid’s
attractions can be inside other buildings other than casinos. Kids are
not allowed inside the casinos. You can take them in, but must walk past
the tables and slots. Standing with your children near the games is strictly
prohibited. Many of the hotels along The Strip are family-friendly. This
is very true for TI, MGM, Circus Circus and the Excalibur. Let the hotel
know when you book your trip that you will have children and chances are,
you might get a room close to a window, where you can see a nightly show
or fireworks.
Fun Attractions
Some of the wildest rides can be found in Vegas such as the Adventuredome,
America’s largest indoor theme park, which is a family favorite in
any season. Aquariums, gondola rides, and an exact replica of King Tut’s
tomb are among the family-friendly, educational experiences to be experienced
during the day. There are many shows your kids will love. Check out The
Blue Man Group or Lance Burton. Both are clean and strictly family-friendly
and your kids will always remember the fun time they had while visiting
the Bright Light City.
